At the time of inception, most living wall systems involved renovation-grade design/build installation effort. The miniaturization and reimagining of living wall technology as a consumer-grade domestic appliance was a novel ambition. The overall design layout was informed by safety, physics, and usability. Styling pivoted around a focus to establish this new type of biofiltration-technology as its own unique product archetype. Not only a user-friendly plant habitat, the Respira also improves air quality by circulating air across a hydroponic root zone; beautiful technology, deserving of beautiful design.
